It always gets a little weird posting Theresa’s solar returns because they’re dated for the year before since her birthday is the second to last day of the year, but keeping up with the tradition is what I’m all about. This will be Theresa’s 49th solar return (I’m sure she appreciates me spelling that out for everyone), and I think she’s earned a commemorative coffee mug (I’m thinking one with a picture of the “Hang in there!” cat).
49 is a Second house profection year, which brings the focus of the year on Second house significations; mostly money. Theresa’s natal Second house lord is her lifesaver Jupiter in Aries, this profection year will activate this planet making it to where aspects to her natal Jupiter and aspects from transisting Jupiter to other natal planets or points will be prominent this year.
Solar Return Chart
The natal Ascendant falls within the Solar Return’s Second house which redoubles our emphasis on money, while the Solar Return’s Ascendant falls within the 11th house of the natal chart, which shows a connection to friends and benefactors who will hopefully give Theresa more money. Interestingly, the 11th house is also where the Second house lord in the SR chart falls, and while Saturn in Scorpio isn’t that well off, he is in a mutual reception with Mars in the Second house, which will strengthen the both of them, it should be a good year for money, as long as the Moon keeps her grubby claws off of it, but since she is separating from Saturn she shouldn’t be too involved.
For long time readers of the blog, you’ll know that Theresa has been struggling with her health for the past couple of years, and this is the area she’s mainly concerned with. The First house lord is Jupiter in detriment in Gemini and retrograde in the 7th house, not a pretty picture to describe our native’s health in general. The Lady of the Sixth house is Venus in Sagittarius in the First, which shows more health problems and probably an intensifying of those already present. Particularly, Venus represents blood disorders, and being in the Sign of Jupiter I can’t help but feel like it’s a warning sign for increased difficulty with diabetes. Sagittarius also relates to the hips, buttocks and thighs, which are areas that will have increased difficulty thanks to Venus’s stay in this sign.
Relationships seem like they’ll continue along their current swing-and-a-miss style. While Mercury and Jupiter are in each other’s houses, they no long form an aspect with one another and so can’t draw on each others’ placements for mutual reception to strengthen them. So it seems like there will be more meetings this year, but without the aspect there won’t be anything cemented.
Theresa is currently enrolled in an online college (which is why she doesn’t post so much, I don’t have an excuse) so Ninth house affairs are something to look into this year. The Lord of the Ninth house is the Sun in the First which is a great set-up to continue education. The Sun is applying to the Sextile of its domicile Lord in the Eleventh, which should make schooling this year easy and stable.
